Intro: Screens

You’re probably used to thinking of screens in a physical sense, like the “screen” you’re looking at right now, but in Method terms, screens relate to apps in the same way pages relate to books: apps are made up of screens, and each one performs a different function.

To take a closer look at the Screens section, select the vertical ellipsis on your Contacts App, and select Manage. By default, you’re automatically taken to the Screens section.

Each one of the tiles you see ("Contact List, "Contact Preferences") represents a single screen in the Contacts App.

At the top of the page, there is an option to create a screen, which you can read more about here.

You'll see Contact List is the first screen listed. The star in the corner of the tile means this screen is the default screen you see when you open the app.  (You can change what default screen is chosen in the Configuration section).

The default screen won’t always be the first screen listed, since screens are listed in alphabetical order.
In the next section, we will talk about the tiles shown on each screen, and what they do.
