Gmail Gadget Troubleshooting

IMPORTANT: please refer to this FAQ article regarding Method’s current Gmail Gadget

There are a few scenarios where you may have issues connecting your Gmail gadget to your Method account.

In most cases, disconnecting and reconnecting to your gmail account should solve the problem. 

If the above instructions do not work, here are a few suggestions.

Gadget keeps spinning when trying to load contact

  1. Disconnect and reconnect your gmail accountIf this does not fix the problem, continue. 
  2. Log into your gmail account.
  3. Click the gear on the right, and then select Settings.
  4. Select Labels setting and make sure All Mail has the Show in IMAP option checked.
  5. Under Forwarding and POP/IMAP setting, make sure IMAP is enabled.

This should have Method load properly in your Gmail gadget.

Gadget gives an error

If the gadget gives an error when loading an activity, or says "unhandled error processing a request", follow the below steps.

  1. Disconnect and reconnect your gmail accountIf this does not fix the problem, continue. 
  2. Follow the same steps above for when the Gadget keeps spinning.
